  • Celebration Assembly

    Our celebration assembly took place where we announced who was the Pupil of the Term for each class and for each curriculum subject. The pupils were nominated by their class teacher and each chosen pupil was awarded a certificate and given a festive treat. The teachers also chose one pupil from their class who has continued to follow one of our values - Kindness throughout this term.

  • 100% Attendance Breakfast

    Well done to all the pupils who have been in school every day this Autumn term and have achieved 100% attendance. The pupils were awarded a 100% attendance certificate and parents were also notified via email. The pupils also enjoyed a celebratory attendance breakfast. We expect all our Delta children to be punctual and attend school every day so they do not miss out on all the exciting learning and wonderful events that take place.

  • Christmas Disco

    We celebrated the end of term with a whole school festive Christmas Disco. The glitter ball was out! The pupils enjoyed party games and dancing to some well-known popular songs and, most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

  • Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Lunch

    Everyone enjoyed Christmas lunch with their teachers and friends and wore their Christmas jumpers to school. Our lunch servers from The Pantry always do an amazing job and ensured each child enjoyed a lovely festive lunch until their stomachs were full!

  • Christmas Poetry Performance

    Once again, our regular half-term poetry performances took place this week. Reception and KS1 performed their ‘A Christmas Recipe’ performance to the rest of the school, and KS2 performed their Christmas poems beautifully. Each half-term, it is a pleasure to see how much enjoyment and confidence that the pupils have when performing. We look forward to showcasing these to parents in the Spring and Summer term.

  • 'A Christmas Recipe' Performance

    We are incredibly proud of our young members in Reception Kahlo and Year 1/2 Mandela class for performing ‘A Christmas Recipe’ to our parents. It really showed that even at a young age, the children had such confidence to perform, act, narrate and sing! Cook needed to follow a Christmas recipe, she added Father Christmas, some presents, some festive robins, fluttering snowflakes, sparkling stars and three kind women who gave the gifts of Responsible, Respectful and Resilient to the Cook, who mixed it all in the Christmas bowl. However, there was one missing ingredient - a Christmas tree! Thank you to all our parents/carers and extended family members who came to watch the performance.

  • A Christmas Star Map

    Our hall has been transformed into a ‘Sky full of Stars!’ All our Delta children took part in the Picture News Primary Christmas Star Map and have lit up our hall by sharing a star containing a wish or act of kindness that the children have thought about and have written how they think they can make the world a better place.

  • Rapunzel and the Revengers - Millfield Theatre

    Our KS1 and KS2 children had front row seats and watched the annual Christmas pantomime ‘Rapunzel and the Revengers’ at Millfield Theatre. The children always look forward to immersing themselves in watching a live theatre performance alongside getting into the festive spirit. All of our Delta children followed our school values and were exceptional at representing the school.

  • Year 3 Angelou Natural History Museum

    On Friday 5th December, Year 3 Angelou class visited the Natural History Museum. The children enjoyed a live show and demonstration of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, looking at why they happen, what damage they can cause and how scientists try to help people avoid the dangers they pose. The educational visit allowed the children to consolidate their Geography unit for this half-term. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and were very engaged throughout their visit.

  • Picture News Primary – Live from Antarctica Assembly!

    KS1 and KS2 took part in the Picture News Primary ‘Live from Antarctica’ special assembly streaming 600 miles from the South Pole! The children were able to meet Robert Swann OBE, who was the first person in history to walk both the North and South Poles. Jenny Cooke, the co-founder of the 2041 Schools charity. Robert shared stories from the ice, the importance of protecting our planet’s frozen continent, and inspired the children to become champions of Antarctica! This was a wonderful experience for all the children.

  • Connect Pupil Sustainability Parliament Meeting

    Today our Year 6 Head Students went to one of our Trust schools – Hazelbury Primary School. The Head Students met other children from all of our Trust schools and took part in the Connect Education Trust – Pupil Sustainability Parliament Meeting. The focus was on Decarbonisation Day. The Head Students brainstormed their ideas on how they would put this in place within the school.

  • French Day

    All of our Delta children had a magnifique day today, where they came to school in the colours of the French flag. The children were immersed in visiting a French café where they enjoyed ordering a cup of hot chocolate and a croissant. Followed by different French activities.
