  • Delta Sleepover

    Yesterday we had our Delta Sleepover! Some of the children in Year 5 and Year 6 stayed overnight and took part in many team building games and a scavenger hunt. The children also had pizza for dinner and hot chocolate before bedtime. Finally, breakfast in the morning beofre the rest of the school returned for the normal school day.

  • Harvest Festival

    Thank you to all the families who donated items for the Harvest Festival. We have already had a representative from North Enfield Foodbank collect the items. This really shows how kindness can be pay forward to help others in our community.

  • Bike Awareness Course

    This week, the children in Year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to sign up and take part in a bike awareness course. The children learnt how to check if their bike is in roadworthy condition, bike and handling skills in the playground and if they were deemed to be confident, they learnt how to safely ride a bike on the local roads. Each child has now also been awarded a certicate for completing the course.

  • Multicultural and Worldview Day

    Today we had a multicultural and worldview day, where children participated in lessons linked to different cultures and heritage and what it is like living in Multicultural Britain. Followed by arts and crafts activities linked to the festival of lights - Diwali.

  • A visit to the Science Museum

    Year 5/6 Jemison class thoroughly enjoyed thier visit to the Science Museum, where they got to explore and experience the Wonder Lab.

  • Harvest Festival

    Today we had a member from the North Enfield Foodbank visit the school and spoke to all the children about the Harvest Festival. The children were also informed about how the North Enfield Foodbank recieves donations to help families who are not as fortunate with food parcels.

    Delta will be collecting items between Monday 21st - Friday 24th October, every morning at the school gate.

  • Hello Yellow! - World Mental Health Day

    Today it is World Mental Health Day! Delta children have come into school wearing yellow, to show their support to young people that they're not alone with their mental health. The children had a whole school assembly to raise awareness, followed by various activities they have completed in class. Thank you to everyone who bought a donation to help raise money for the charity Youngminds UK.

  • NSPCC - Speak Out, Stay Safe

    Year 1 to Year 6 took part in the NSPCC - Speak Out, Stay Safe virtual assembly, followed by an activity and pupil survey. The assembly helped the children to understand how to recognise and know the signs of abuse. The children were also given the strong key message that abuse is never the child's fault and that they have a right to be safe. Finally, where to get help and organisations that are available.

  • School Games - Silver Award

    We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Silver Kitemark Award for School Games 2024/2025! We have achieved the Silver School Games Mark for our commitment and engagement with school games last academic year. We will continue to do so this academic year too! The School Games Silver certificate will be displayed in our school office and the Silver Kitemark will now feature on our letterhead paper.

    October is Black History Month! Today each class took part in the Picture News special Black History Month assembly. This year's theme is 'Standing Firm in Power and Pride.' The children discussed various significant people from Black heritage and culture. Throughout this month, the children will also be looking at a range of text and stories.

  • Cooking and Nutrition Taster Class

    Our Year 5/6 children had a cooking and nutrition taster class at Aim North London Academy, where they got to make and bake cookies! All the children showed great teamwork and patience, but most importantly, they learnt many culinary skills in the food and technology room.
