  • Spreading Love and Kindness

    Reception Kahlo Class have been spreading love and kindness and took part in various continuos provision activities linked to Valentine's Day. The children even made their own flower bouquet using their handprints to give to someone they love.

  • Children's Mental Health Week

    This week, the school community came together to support the charity ‘Place2Be’ and celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme was ‘This is My Place’, which is based around belonging and how we can feel a sense of belonging and help others feel like they belong. We also had a whole school refocus on our value of Kindness, ensuring children continue to shine and show ‘Kindness is our Superpower’ by displaying kindness all around the school and helping the children recognise the spaces, both physical and emotional, where they feel safe, valued and able to be themselves.

  • Safer Internet Day

    On Tuesday 10th February, it was also Safer Internet Day and this year's theme was ‘Smart tech, safe choices’ where the children were exploring the safe and responsible use of AI. The children had an assembly which helped them understand that AI is a type of computer which has been designed to try and do some of the things a human brain can do. The children were also reminded of how to stay safe when using AI. Again, the children knew about talking to trusted adults no matter how small the issue is when online. The afternoon was spent carrying out various activities and role-play scenarios linked to this year’s theme.

  • Geobus Workshop

    Angelou class enjoyed a live online workshop with the Geobus team from UCL linked to their learning in science about rocks and minerals. Children used and built on their knowledge about rocks, exploring where they come from and what we use them for. They explored the different types of rocks using 3D glasses and pictures and where challenged to identify them. Pupils then engaged in a live question and answer session with a professional in the field of geology and asked some very thoughtful and insightful questions about some fossils!

  • Year 3 Angelou Class Assembly

    Year 3 Angelou Class performed their assembly to their parents and families. The children acted out the Roman Invasion of Britain and how they battled against the Celts. Once the Romans returned to Italy, there was a volcanic eruption at Mount Etna! The Scientist explained how and why volcanoes erupt. Well done Year 3, who were confident in showcasing and consolidating their learning in History.

  • Little City Enfield!

    Reception Kahlo Class visited Little City Enfield, which is an award-winning mobile role play, where the children became either a postman, doctor, optician, vet, mechanic, builder and more! All the children had an amazing experience and came back to school with happy smiles.

    We even had members of the public commenting on how well behaved and sensible the children were during their visit. Well done Reception, we are incredibly proud of you all.

  • Royal Observatory Space Workshop

    Year 5/6 Jemison Class took part in the Roya Observatory Virtual Space Workshop. This was a wonderful opportunity where the children further developed their knowledge, skills and understanding of their Science topic 'Earth and Space.'

    The children discussed the planets within the Solar System and were able to speak to an Astronomer, who discussed how they find out information about the Solar System and the future missions that have been planned.

  • Year 4/5 Farah Class Farm to Fork Workshop

    Year 4/5 Farah class took part in the 'Farm to Fork' workshop run by The Pantry Catering. The eco-friendly session focused on an important topic – how to live sustainably. The children learnt how we can be kinder to our planet, from reducing food waste, the benefits of 'wonky veg', eating seasonally and knowing how to make smart food choices so they are able to contribute towards a greener future!

  • Celebration Assembly

    Our celebration assembly took place where we announced who was the Pupil of the Term for each class and for each curriculum subject. The pupils were nominated by their class teacher and each chosen pupil was awarded a certificate and given a festive treat. The teachers also chose one pupil from their class who has continued to follow one of our values - Kindness throughout this term.

  • 100% Attendance Breakfast

    Well done to all the pupils who have been in school every day this Autumn term and have achieved 100% attendance. The pupils were awarded a 100% attendance certificate and parents were also notified via email. The pupils also enjoyed a celebratory attendance breakfast. We expect all our Delta children to be punctual and attend school every day so they do not miss out on all the exciting learning and wonderful events that take place.

  • Christmas Disco

    We celebrated the end of term with a whole school festive Christmas Disco. The glitter ball was out! The pupils enjoyed party games and dancing to some well-known popular songs and, most importantly, enjoying each other’s company.

  • Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Lunch

    Everyone enjoyed Christmas lunch with their teachers and friends and wore their Christmas jumpers to school. Our lunch servers from The Pantry always do an amazing job and ensured each child enjoyed a lovely festive lunch until their stomachs were full!
