  • Science Week at Delta!

    Published 18/06/26

This week, the children have been participating in Delta's Science Week 2026! The theme is all around "Curiosity" – challenging the children to ask questions about the world around them and developing their resilience as they investigate the answers to those questions. It's been amazing seeing them plan out scientific enquiries, making predictions and using their measuring skills to accurately record data. They have worked on four investigations:

    • How can you tell how old a shark is?
    • Does toast always land butter-side down?
    • How do boats float?
    • What's the best design for a paper aeroplane?
    • What happens if you mix oil and water together?

We want to congratulate the children on their curiosity and resilience this week. They've done an amazing job as scientists, conducting these investigations.

  • Sports2Inspire Multi Skills Festival

    Published 16/06/26

Some of our KS2 children had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the @sports2inspire_ Multi Skills Festival.

The children showed great sportsmanship and team work where they competed against children from our other Trust schools – Chesterfield and Hazelbury Primary School.

Zak Guerfi, the Founder of Sports2Inspire commended that, “All the children had come together and were united through sport. Every single child behaved impeccably and showed fantastic standards throughout the day.”

At the end of the day, a few of the children were asked what they felt they had learnt from the event and shared the following:

“I learnt to never give up on myself in future life.”

“To be responsible and show kindness to my friends.”

    “To be resilient and respectful.”

It really shows that the children still instilled our school values alongside the power of sport!

Finally, thank you to Hazelbury Primary School for hosting the event. Once again, thank you to Zak and the entire Sports2Inspire team for an experience that the children will have as a memory.
