Our Key Stage 2 children had a wonderful assembly led by a guest speaker from UK Parliament – Outreach and Education team. The assembly expanded the children's knowledge about the Houses of Parliament is run, the role of a MP and the current Bill that is being discussed in Parliament about the current voting age possibly changing to 16 years old, where children could vote in the next general election. The children used their oracy skills to generate discussion, and we had some excellent and respectful answers.
