Year 2 Mandela Class did a fabulous job at showcasing what they have learnt about Plants so far this term. The children were able to use their long-term memory and recall things they had already learnt from Reception and Year 1. Then further deepen their knowledge and understanding by discussing a range of scientific vocabulary such as photosynthesis and the difference between evergreen and deciduous trees to name a few things. The children were also able to explain an enquiry about investigating plant growth and fair testing. Thank you to all the families who attended.

The school and all the children were all overjoyed to take a seat and either talk or display kindness towards each other.

There was a wonderful atmosphere in school on Monday, where the children took part in RE and Worldview Day and took part in many exciting and creative lessons. The children demonstrated our Delta Values and learnt about different festivals and religions. They also learnt about the similarities and differences between the different religions, faiths and beliefs. The children also showed empathy and respect about what life is like in multicultural Britain.
During the February half-term, we set all the children homework to complete the 52 Lives Kind School - Random Acts of Kindness Challenge. We had many entries, who returned their completed challenges during the first week back of school.
