  • Hyde Park-Tales from the Shed!

    Today Orchid and Rose class got to experience a live theatre performance called 'Tales from the Shed' by the well-known theatre company The Chicken Shed, in Hyde Park. 

    The trip helped promote wellbeing and allow the children to possibly have their first experience of watching a live theatre performance. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and eating their lunch in the wonderful surroundings of Hyde Park.

    The children also experienced using public transport safely such as the bus, the overground and the underground tube! The class teachers were very proud of how sensible the children were during th trip.

  • Song Sack performance

    During the Summer term, Orchid and Rose class have been participating in a fantastic music programme called Song Sack, which has been delivered by Enfield Music Service. Every Tuesday, the children have been learning a selection of songs from around the world. 

    This afternoon, the children performed and showcased their singing talent to their parents. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and it was lovely to see how singing really makes everyone feel happy and smile!

  • Bluebell Class at Forty Hall

    Bluebell class visited Forty Hall where they carried out a scavenger hunt in the woods and farmland. The children also enjoyed having a picnic and exploring the beautiful surroundings around Forty Hall.

  • Sunflower Class Assembly

    Published 01/07/22

    This morning Sunflower performed their wonderful assembly to their parents. Rose and Tulip class were also invited to watch too. The children explained what they have learnt in Reception and how they are ready to move to Year 1 very soon. The children also sang two lovely songs, 'Plant a little seed' to symbolise how much they have grown and 'We are ready for Year 1.'  Sunflower class you have shown great confidence and performed such a lovely assembly.

  • What can we find in our local area?

    During the Geography lessons, Bluebell have been learning how to make maps of the local area. Today they went on a local walk just outside the school to see what they would need to include. They have put the road names, houses, flats, shops, bus stops and zebra crossings onto their map.

  • Transport for London

    Today James from Transport for London came in to talk to Bluebell Class about how to be safe using public transport. He showed the children how to use maps, how to plan a journey and how to get help if needed. James also showed the children a zip card that can help save money when travelling on public transport.

  • Sunflowers in bloom!

    The school garden is looking lovely, some sunflowers have bloomed. The children have been enjoying the sunshine and have been weeding the flowerbeds. The children even got to pick some strawberries and  are waiting for the tomatoes appear!

  • For the Love of reading!

    All the children have really enjoyed taking a book home from the Pop-Up Book shop, which were provided by The Children's Book Project.

    The children are now enjoying and getting comfortable on the bean bags and benches in the playground during morning and lunchtime play and diving into books and reading!

  • Pop-Up Book Shop Launch

    We launched our Pop - Up Book shop this week #childrensbookproject -the children loved choosing a book on their way into class this morning.  Today it was Rose Class’s turn. Tomorrow is Tulip’s and Friday’s will be Bluebell’s.  Sunflower chose on Monday, and Orchid on Tuesday.

    Next week the Book shop will be in the playground at lunchtimes for the children to choose another book.  Let’s get reading.

    One child said, "This is amazing and will make me want to read more!"

  • Bluebell Class - Crime Scene Investigation

    In English, Bluebell class have a crime scene to investigate. Victoria, the class teacher created a fictitious crime scene as a wow factor to introduce the new book they will be reading - The Highwayman, to help with the children's inference skills.

  • Sunflower Class - Queen's Platinum Jubilee

    Sunflower class have been busy learning about Queen Elizabeth II. The children have enjoyed using role play to act the Queen's Coronation, making castles, flags and crowns. They have also been busy taking part in lots of 'learning through play' activities based about the Queen.
