  • Science Enrichment at Aim Academy

    This afternoon, Year 5/6 Jemison went to Aim Academy for their second enrichment afternoon. The children were inspired by the Science lesson and had the opportunity to participate in a practical lesson. The children created their own red cabbage indicator to then test if mixtures were acidic, alkali or neutral solutions. The class are already looking forward to the next enrichment afternoon next term, which will focus on reading and writing.

  • Online Safety Parent Meeting

    This morning we had our Online Safety Parent meeting, which was run by the company - ECP Safeguarding. The meeting was held to help educate parents about how to keep children safe online and was also in line with the recent guidance that has been produced by the Local Authority. You can also find this Online safety guidance and poster on our 'Parent & Carers' tab under the 'Online Safety' heading. We had a very positive turnout, so thank you to all the parents who attended.

  • French Day

    Today all our Delta children immersed themselves in many French day activities and came to school either wearing blue, white or red. Our Reading zone was transformed into a French café, where each class learnt how to order and enjoy eating a croissant and drinking a hot chocolate. The children also had their own French passport where they received a stamp for completing activities such as playing the French game Boules, pointlism art activity creating the Eiffel Tower, learning about other countries outside of France who speak French too. Then in the afternoon, the children performed a French song that each class had been practising all week.

    Finally, towards the end of the day, parents were also invited to our French café and children from Year 5/6 explained to the parents what they have learnt and enjoyed about French day.

  • French Enrichment at Aim Academy

    This afternoon, Year 5/6 Jemison had the opportunity to visit the neighbouring school - Aim Academy. The children took part in an enrichment afternoon, which focused on French. Our children were given an insight into how French is taught at secondary school. The class really enjoyed it and are already looking forward to the next enrichment afternoon, which will focus on Science.

  • Year 4 Farah Class Assembly

    This afternoon Year 4 Farah Class performed their class assembly for their parents and families. Their assembly showcased their learning about how children's lives have changed through different historical periods, such as The Romans, The Tudors, The Victorians to present day.

  • Children In Need

    Published 15/11/24

    Today, the school supported the BBC charity - Children In Need. We had a special assembly where the children learnt how Children In Need supports and changes the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. During Maths, the children took part in some Pudsey Bear Arithmetic activities too.

    We even had some children who came to school with some Children In Need accessories alongside their school uniform. Thank you to everyone who also bought a £1.00 donation.

  • Kindness Workshop

    This afternoon, each class took part in the 52 Lives School of Kindness Workshop where they discussed Kindness and the theme linked to Anti-bullying Week 'Choose Respect.'

    After the workshop, Early Years and Key Stage 1 made Kindness Notes to give to someone in their class and Key Stage 2 made loom band friendship bracelets for each other.

  • Kindness and Friendship Week

    It is Kindness and Friendship Week! The whole school had an assembly about displaying kindness and knowing the difference between bullying and friendship issues. The children also came into school wearing odd socks alongside their uniform to show that we are all unique but can have different qualities too but also to support the Anti-Bullying Alliance and this year's theme 'Choose Respect.'

  • Remembrance Day

    Today, we had a whole school assembly where the children understood the meaning behind Remembrance Day. The whole school observed a 1-minute silence to remember those that have lost their lives in wars of the past and current.

  • Woodwind and Brass Instrument Performance

    Year 3, 4 and 5/6 had the opportunity to watch a wonderful Woodwind and Brass Instrument Performance performed by the Enfield Music Service. The children knew and learnt some of the names of the different instruments, such as the clarinet, oboe, trumpet, saxophone and tuba. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children.

  • Delta Parliament and Head Students

    We would like to introduce our Delta Parliament 2024 - 2025. We have our class MPs alongside our Year 6 Head Student and Deputy Head Student. The children will be having their very first Parliament meeting soon and will be making sure they represent the pupil voice of each class.

  • Delta Parliament 2024 - 2025

    This week is Delta Parliament Week. Each class has been following the British Value - Democracy and have had the right to vote for this year's class MP. All the children received a Polling card and went into the hall to vote and put an X on their ballot paper for the person they would like to represent their class. This was then placed in the Ballot box. The results for our new Delta Parliament will be announced tomorrow in our special assembly.
