Delta Parliament Week

This week it is UK and Delta Parliament Week. We started off the week by each class nominating children from their class to run for MP and the Year 6 candidates also reading their Manifestos to the whole school, giving reasons why they should be the Year 6 Head MP.
Today, all the children experienced having a polling card and having the right to vote. They all completed a ballot paper and voted for one person from their class, who they would like as their MP and also voted for one Year 6 Head MP. The children also had the opportunity to put their completed ballot paper in the ballot box.
The votes are currently being counted, and the children will soon find out who the new MPs and Year 6 Head MP will be for Delta Parliament 2023 -2024
